BAHAMAS PORTS OF ENTRY
Most ABM member marinas have easy customs and immigration clearance. It is always best to contact your destination marina about the clearance process and timing. Before your trip, visit the Bahamas Customs Click2Clear website. Customs and Immigration will visit many marinas. Or, there are a few marinas where you may have to make a short ride to the local office. Before you set out or arrive, confirm with your marina.
Typically, customs operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. although officers are usually good at accommodating late arrivals. If you arrive after 5:00 p.m. you may have to clear the next day, or, if you clear later than 5:00 p.m., you may have to pay an overtime fee, usually $50 per hour. In some islands, if customs have to travel a long way, transport fees may apply.
Here below is a list of our member marinas and whether you can clear there or nearby. Call means the wait for customs is usually short, say, an hour or two. Call ahead means the wait could be longer such as a few hours because the officers have to travel further.
