Effective July 1, 2025, all foreign entities offering charter services in Bahamian waters will enter the country on a transire using Bahamas Customs online click2clear portal.  Yachts are required to be registered for a charter permit by the Bahamas Port department and submit 14% charter tax to the Bahamas Port Department for every Charter.

You no longer register for value added tax (VAT) and do not charge VAT on all yacht charters within The Bahamas.
