WHAT IS A PLATINUM MEMBER?
Platinum Members of the Association of Bahamas Marinas (ABM) are our primary financial contributors; they play a supportive role in the ABM’s contribution to the welfare and viability of the yachting, boating and sport fishing industries.
The Association of Bahamas Marinas is the sector’s primary advocate on issues facing The Bahamas’ boating industry and the boating community.
MAKING CRUISING SAFE
The ABM works with government and law enforcement to make it safer to navigate and cruise Bahamian waters. Our aim is to help fund, repair and maintain the vital harbours, channels, and aids-to-navigation (ATONs) around The Bahamas.
BOAT SECURITY
The ABM interfaces with law enforcement, the rescue services, and the private sector to maximize the safety of our visitors, their vessels and their property.
MODERNIZATION
Our association is at the forefront in encouraging government to make the clearing of Customs, the registration of vessels and payment of fees easy, affordable and a pleasant experience.
PROMOTING OUR INDUSTRIES
The ABM also works closely with the Ministry of Tourism to promote the marinas, yachting and sport fishing industries. Our aim is to provide useful and accurate information to boaters visiting The Bahamas.
SUSTAINABILITY
ABM members keenly participate in the sustainability of our industries and the conservation of our natural resources.
Our goal is to preserve and grow these industries so everyone can enjoy cruising The Bahama Islands well into the future. Sustaining these industries and our natural marine resources requires hard work, dedication and funding.
